Communication
The best way to reach me is through email: [email protected]
My classroom phone number is: 586-723-5035. I will do my best to answer your call depending on the learning activities happening in the classroom. Please leave a voice message and I will call you back as quickly as I can.
If there is an emergency please contact the main office at 586-723-5000 and they will get a message to me immediately. This is especially important if there is a change in what your student need sto do afterschool or how he or she is getting home. I make every effort to check my e-mail and voicemail before and after each class session. From Cheyenne Website: ABSENCE LINE (586)723-5099 BY 9:00AM If your child will not be in school, please call the school’s 24 hour absence line and leave the following information: student’s first and last name, grade, teacher, date, reason for absence and name of person leaving the message. |
The folder in your child's backpack also serves a communication tool between us. Please put any notes for me in your child’s folder. Not loosely in the back pack please! I will check it every day. It is the most efficient way to make sure I have the information you want me to know. If for any reason there is a change to what your child is doing after school, a written note MUST be sent to school. I cannot accept your child telling me a change in plans. Please make sure that any person who may possibly pick up your child is documented on their emergency card in the main office. Your child’s safety is of up most importance to me.
I will send home a monthly calendar that includes information about what we will be doing in class and monthly homework assignments. The weekly homework needs to be returned in the folder by Friday. When there is an assignment that does not require something to come back to school, please initial it to let me know the child has completed the work. Please return the homework calendar each week along with the completed assignments. There is a reward system for the children. They are learning to be responsible. |
